The methods to build time resistant architectural structures using blends of mineral has been known since roman times. Isothermal microcalorimetry focuses on cement or plaster setting kinetics and scheme, while thermogravimetry and coupled techniques focus more on compositional analyses

Moreover, high temperature calorimetry allow reaching valuable data for the design of baking furnaces.
